We have a limited quantity of nice looking breeding size gilts from a pasture raised herd. They were born here on our farm May-June 2020 and are about 250-300+ pounds. If bred now, they would farrow in May/June.

Their heritage breed mothers were Red Wattle/Hereford and dad was a Hampshire. We've had good luck with pasturing and finishing this cross. Their mothers all had excellent mothering abilities with 12-14 teats. As first-time farrowing sows, their mothers all raised litters of 10-12 piglets each. Our pigs are all open farrowed. Raised without hormones, steroids, or fed antibiotics. Gilts aren't currently vaccinated, but we can vaccinate them if wanted.

They are very docile and we handle them daily. Our pigs are 100% UP born and bred. They are hardy and do well in the winter, no supplemental heat needed. They are on pasture, grains, and hay produced locally in the U.P. We are in the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan, close to the WI border.

We do have butcher dates lined up in the next month, but a few of them are such sweeties that we thought we'd offer them as breeding gilts if anyone was interested.
